As August draws to a close and the cooler months approach, PlayStation Plus Game subscribers are gearing up for the latest offerings on the service. However, the first new arrival for September’s PlayStation Plus selection has been unveiled, and the initial reaction from subscribers has been less than enthusiastic.

PlayStation Plus members frequently become excited about the newest games that will be added, as they look forward to new and interesting titles. What Subscribers Are Saying

The response from the PlayStation Plus community has been mixed, with some expressing frustration over the lack of high-profile or highly anticipated titles. The general sentiment reflects a desire for more compelling or recent releases that could justify the subscription fee.

As we move into September, it’s clear that PlayStation Plus subscribers are hopeful for improvements in the upcoming selections. The service has a history of offering valuable games, and many are optimistic that future announcements will better meet the expectations of the gaming community.

In the meantime, subscribers will have to wait and see if the new arrivals for September will surprise them or if the focus will shift to improving the lineup in the months to come.

As September approaches, PlayStation Plus subscribers are gearing up for the new titles set to join the service. While the full lineup has yet to be revealed, one game that has been confirmed is Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.

Upcoming Title: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, slated for release on September 3, 2024, is a sports game centered around the iconic game of Quidditch, made famous by J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. Developed by Unbroken Studios and published by Warner Bros., this game marks the first Harry Potter-related title since the release of Hogwarts Legacy earlier in 2023.

Subscriber Reactions

Despite the excitement surrounding the Harry Potter franchise, the announcement of Quidditch Champions joining PlayStation Plus has not been met with enthusiasm. Subscribers took to r/PlayStationPlus to voice their disappointment, expressing frustration over the game’s inclusion in the service. The sentiment reflects a broader dissatisfaction with the current month’s offerings, as many had hoped for a more diverse or high-profile selection of games.

Looking Forward

While Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions might attract fans of the franchise, the reaction from PlayStation Plus members suggests a desire for more compelling or anticipated titles. As the full September lineup is revealed, subscribers will be watching closely to see if the upcoming selections can better meet their expectations and address the current concerns within the gaming community.

It didn’t help that the post was released in conjunction with the Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions trailer.

One remark said, “I know the bar is really low because this is essentially a fantasy sports game, but it still looks really weird just dropping in movie clips from a 23-year-old movie into the trailer.”

“I played this st in beta and it’s dog st,” another person said. After around ten minutes, it becomes monotonous.

They were not, in my opinion, fans.

Some fans, nevertheless, were experiencing nostalgia, particularly because this is the first Quidditch-focused game since Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, which was published in 2003 for the Game Boy and PlayStation 2.

“Oh my god, I hope they’ve done a good job making this experience,” said one response.

“I recall playing Quidditch for hours on end with my game boy when I was a little lad. How fun from the past that was!
