Google Has Launch a new feature in Chrome for Android User’s

Having trouble managing several tabs in Chrome? On Android, Google now allows you to colour-code your tab groups for more usability and organising.

Users can now colour-code their tab groups in Chrome for Android, thanks to a new feature from Google. With this upgrade, users will be able to visually distinguish between distinct groupings of tabs, which should streamline tab management.

In Google Chrome, tab groups could only be distinguished by their titles. According to a 9to5Google report, users may now designate unique colours for each group, which makes it simpler to maintain and identify them quickly. This is especially helpful for people who are juggling several tabs for different projects or jobs.

How to Use Chrome to Colour-code Tabs:

  • Open Chrome: Start the Chrome browser on your Android device.
  • Create a Tab Group: Tap the “+” icon next to your open tabs and select “New tab group.”
  • Add Tabs: Include the tabs you wish to group into the new tab group.
    • Apply Colour to the Group:
    • Long-press the tab group’s title.
    • A menu will appear. Choose “Change colour.”
  • Select a colour from the palette.

The group will stand out from other groups by applying the selected colour to its title and icon. If you wish to colour-code any other tab groups, use the same procedure.

Google is constantly working to improve Chrome’s usability and usefulness for Android users, and this feature is part of that effort. The most recent Chrome for Android version, which is available for download from the Google Play Store, has colour-coded tab groups.

Google is developing a feature that will let users access their stored tab groups from the desktop Chrome version in addition to this upgrade. “Save Group,” a function that was unveiled in December, will soon be available on Android devices as a new tab under the Tab Switcher.

With a single press, users will be able to access stored tab groups and launch them on the main Tab Grid. Under Settings > Tabs, you can set or disable the “Automatically open tab groups from other devices” option. This functionality is now being brought out progressively and may be enabled with flags in Chrome Beta (version 128):
